Help On Buying 95 Legend Typ II
Help On Buying 95 Legend Typ II
I need some help guys. I know you guys know about legends. I have been a big fan of the 95 legend coupe for along time. Well now is the time I am thinking of buying one. I totaled my 02 tls/navi last week and cannot afford another new because of insurance going sky high. I now am looking at a 95 red ls coupe type II 35k miles for 17,500. Can you guys answer some quck dumb ??? for me?
1. Is the 95 legend ls coupe type II considered a sports car?
2. Is the car being red going to be more $$$ to insure.
3. Is the 17,500 price too much for it . It has 35k miles and is immaculate.
4.Do you think the insurace will be high for a 95 ?
If you guys can answer any of these ??? I would appreciate it . Thanks!!!

Color doesn't matter
The car being red will not affect the insurance cost. For the insurance cost, just ask your agent. Also, shop around. You're going to need to be truthful about totaling your TL. I'm assuming it was your fault. Insurance is based on codes or classes of cars. Usually the higher the number the more expensive to insure. The TL Type S is 5, I think, with Farmer Insurance. That's in the BMW, Lexus catagory. I'm 43, married with two kids. I have a speeding ticket 4 -5 years ago. So, it's off my record. Several windshield replacement claims. Very common in Colorado. Besides that, no car insurance claim since 1984. My 6 month cost ist $670!!!! Needless to say, I'll be shopping. My agent is nervous. My 91 Legen L (gen I) was $350 every 6 months. 35K miles is low for a 95. Check out:

for car prices. The wholesale or trade in value is what the dealer would pay you. The retail is what the dealer would sale it for. If you're close to wholesale, it's great deal.
Good Luck

PAW, you are getting insurance durt cheap compared to us NYers. My dad pays 1700 for himself with over 30 years experience, no tickets EVER, no accidents which were his fault (knock on wood). My insurance is around 2800 and my sisters is around the same.
