I just switched my 99TL tails with the 02 TL..... The driver side is fine, but for some reason the passenger side is acting funny. The turn signal works and the brake light works, but the running lights do not! What happened? I did not even have to mess with the bulbs, it was a direct swap!

Any advice, I am taking to the dealer tomorrow morning, but I know that they are going to laugh at me. I don't what I did wrong...

Any thoughts?

 

Try swapping the bulb in question. Sounds like it's just a coincidence that the bulb died when you made the switch. That bulb is a two-filament bulb, so the brake light filament may work, but the other one may not.

 

I took it to the dealer this morning. It turns out that is was just a blown bulb!!!! Everything is fine now....
