Help!!

I have a 2000 TL with 36K miles and have been noticing that the car doesn't move smoothly through the gears when using SS. The car runs perfect when in regular auto mode, but in SS, it sometimes seems to shake a little between gears.

Are these symptoms of a tranny problem?
Or is SS mode just more rougher that regular auto mode?

thanks!

Sounds like the early stages of a tranny problem. I'd go to a dealer for inspection before the warranty is up. And if you don't already, I'd spend the $$ on the extended warranty if you plan on keeping the car.

good luck

but the thing is that car is perfect when in regular auto mode.
i'm confused.
What can the dealer do?
i've been reading that the dealer won't do anything until the car is actually broken.

another thing I noticed is when I'm in SS mode and in 2 or 3 gear, when I let off the accelerator quickly, the car seems to jerk a little while it's slowing down.
is this normal?

thanks

its suppose to do that because its switching in between gears. when u drive a manual transmission car u can feel the shifts in between. even if its a little jerk u can still feel it, my car does that too when in SS mode..theres nothng wrong with it
