Post HELP!!!

I took my car for the first time to a carwash. It wasnt automatic, it was a hand wash car wash. I waited inside watching them dry my car which they did very well but when I got in my car, I found out they Armor Alled EVERYTHING! I hate the shine! My leather, doors, dash and everything is super shiny! I need to know how I can take away the shine and give my car the dull look like new. Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Just use a terry towel and start wiping.

If you dont mind waiting it goes away by itself in a few weeks. I don't like it either.

I remember when we were putting the brushed aluminum kit on my cousins maxima, it said to go over the area with Lacquer Thinner and when we put it on, the shine went away. I was going to try that but what will that do to my dash if I put it on that?

Thinner is some strong shat... I wouldn't do that. I did my car up in Armour All and it wasn't shiny, just much more black. Our black interiors are actually just grey.

Nate, I took a little cloth and put a drop of it on the cloth and tested it on a little part and then I noticed my cloth turned black! Good think I didn't put it all over.. Phew....

Yeah, just wait it out. Next time, tell them not to armor all the interior. Lesson learned... the hard way.

Roshan. Don't sweat it, as I have your solution. Simply purchase Armor All Multi-Purpose Cleaner (http://www.armorall.com/prodcat/pages/multipurpose_2.10.html), and your problem will be solved. I've used it before to remove the shiny Armor All Original Protectant from my interior and dash, and it worked like a charm. Then, if desired, you can use the Armor All Low Gloss Protectant or Armor All Interior Protectant products, which provides the interior protection without the extra shine. I've used the Low Gloss Protectant for my interior and dash, and it is excellent. Good luck.

Just use windex or any class cleaner should work. Used on my dash before with no problems.

Just wipe it with a towel with water, it should dull up a bit..
