Help!

has anyone or can someone try and using a 2004+ Navi CD in their 2gen (99-03) DVD Drive?
just that i was about to attemp this navi conversion but i ran into a question where someone said that the 2004+ CDs don't work in these DVD drives. has anyone proven this to not work?

I have no personal experience with this, but I recall reading that they were totally different systems and the DVD discs were not interchangeable.

Why not just use a 2nd gen DVD disc? They are still being updated.

Do you already have a 2004+ navi DVD?

my concern is that i live in Canada and that since the 2003 dvds only display maps for the US only i was wondering if there were any updated CDs that would work in Canada for the 2gen dvd drive

Would anybody know if the wiring pigtails from a 2003 navi dvd drive be compatible for a 2004+ dvd drive?

I try some like that an it didn't work. To main thing to know is the CD has to be the same color as the one comming out of Navi Unit. Unless you Burn DVD, but still has be same form mat.

I try switching some of there Disc out of my friends Navi unit.
I have 99 TL with Black Label Disc an i know these below don't work.

02-03 TL w/ voice-recognition (Orange Disc)
04 TL (Sliver Disc)
05 Accord (White Disc)
Cann't remember if 04 TL an 05 Accord was the same Disc
