I was driving to work yesterday and my Check Engine Light came on. I got to work and right across the way we have a local car service place. He didn't have anybody in so I dropped my car off and got my oil changed. He also noticed two things. My CV Boots are torn and my motor mounts are bad. He also didn't know why the check engine light came on. My milage is 122916 and its a 1999 Acura TL 3.2. Has anyone else experienced similar problems and what is the cost of this going to run me. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Did he check/read for any trouble codes? If not, you might ask him to do that.

 

If the check engine light is on it has to be throwing a code. Didnt the shop read the code?
