Hello

Hi everyone,

Just picked up my Silver 99 last week, but i've been watching acura-tl for almost a month. You guys are AWESOME ! This is a great forum for people considering a TL. I don't think I've ever seen any forum or chat room that has people who are so passionate (and honest) about their subject.

The car's stock with a spoiler that has a terrible paint job (kinda blotchy - didn't notice it until after it was home and in the sun -- still love it anyway)

I love the car but there are some pet peeves - for instance how come the sunroof doesn't have an auto open/close function? and are there any aftermarket switches to create one?

Welcome!

I don't have an answer to your switch question but wanted to welcome you to the forum anyway.

Smile hello

Welcome!

Where in Connecticut are you from?

If the paint turns out to be a manuf. defect, it may be covered by warranty if the warranty is still valid.

Welcome,

We are having a meet on Sunday on the Berlin Turnpike at 1pm. Stop by and there will be a lot of TL owners there to speak with.

Don't worry, no one else that is coming knows anyone else, so we'll all be clueless!

For more info, look in the meets forum.

Sunday, DOT Commuter Parking Lot, Newington, CT 1pm

you can probably buy the dei 530t power window module to use on that sunroof. it has both one touch open and close (probably through the factory switch), and can be vented if you have an alarm. this module can control another window the same way if you car. they sell another module called the 529t that can control a single window in two ways, or two windows in one way...but no venting. although cheaper, you can rig this to work the way you want.

clifford has their smartwindow module which i believe is similar to the 530t.

and of course, there are other brands too.

I would also be interested in something like this. Does anyone know anything more about this?
