Heated Seats Problem

I have noticed that my 03TLS driver side seat when the heated seats are turned on that it gets warm and then cools off and then gets warm again. As if it has a timer on when to turn off and on. Is this normal or is it supposed to be heating the complete time?

hot seat

From what I read, with the switch in the High position the heating elements will turn on and off as you mentioned. But in the Low position they will stay on continuesly.

They probably don't want the leather (or your A$$) to completely cook...

i like the "pulse" feature. it probably is to keep your @$$ from cooking but it works. you tend to adjust to a temp and no longer notice it. with the seats going off and on like that, you keep getting that "ahhhh, just warmed feeling"

i noticed if you drive with the roof open in cooler weather, it turns off and on faster. probably becuz you're cooling off faster . . .
