Question Heated Seat Question

Hi as I was using my Heated seat this morning, it would take a few minutes to come on and it did! As it was on for about 7 minutes I noticed it was starting to then go off or cool down! Is this normal, Is it supossed to cut in and out. What have other owners experienced? Any feed back would be most appreciated!!!Btw my seat was set to the High position and I have a 2000 TL.

Yes, when set to HIGH, the heat will cycle on and off as necessary, whent set to LOW it will stay ON continuously as per manual.

I have a problem with my passenger seat, it warms very little on high or low... the buttom is signifi****ly less warm than driver's seat. I think my heating element is getting old, it used to get very hot....

I think the passenger seat only heats the butt area not the back.

Yes, it only heats the butt. And the butt area is only very slightly warm at all times (even on high). My girlfriend first told me that its not hot as it used to be, and then I tried it myself and confirmed its much less warm than my driver's seat.
It will be a ***** to prove to the dealership, I think they only fix it when it stops working all together....

On my car my seat and back work.but my wife did confirm with me that infact the seat is supossed to cycle on and off because the seat could get so hot that the seat could actually catch on fire! Russian dude, good luck getting your seat fixed I hope it works out! I'm not sure if the element is supossed to be dead before they replace it or not!?Let me know!
