Angry Headliner rattle

I've searched on this topic and, although there is plenty out there on rattles, nobody seems to be posting solutions to this one. Hoping someone here can help me out.

I have a 2003 TL-S. There is a rattle that I've finally pinpointed in the headliner coming from the passenger side rear of the car, basically right where the headliner and rear pillar meet over the back passenger side door. I've taken my car to the dealer 3 times with the same problem. 1) they said the sun visor needs grease - still rattled; 2) they said the molding around the rear window needed to be replaced - still rattled; 3) they said the clip was loose that secures the radio antenna wire that runs from the back window up the pillar and into the headliner, - still rattles!

It doesn't matter what the weather is like or how fast I'm going. It sounds like two pieces of plastic tapping against each other, and it's extremely frustrating. I'm tired of running back and forth to the dealer. Anyone have a suggestion for doing it myself? Thanks.

Sure. Live with it.

I have an annoying rattle coming from the front passenger seat headliner area, and I'm not taking it in, because I know they will never fix it.

I have had a few of these rattles but my dealer has taken car of it every time. One was the infamous liner rub, the other was the magnet holding the visor back was loose. They were both in a days work. I haven't heard anything since. *knock on wood!*

Headliner Rattle

I have had the car since May 2003 and have the same annoying rattle coming from the rear of the car. It sounds like the noise is coming from where the headliner meets the rear window on the passenger side (just like yours). I am bringing the car in on Monday for this problem and for the squeaky seatbelt problem discussed in the DIY forum. Also have a loose quarter panel on the passenger rear side and a squeaky driver side door latch (on the inside of the car). For the money we paid for the car and the rep Acura has built up over the years, I would have hoped for a better finished product.

I have a rattle from that area as well. The headliner rattle was taken car of by the dealer during an oil change. The rattle from the radio seems to be from the passenger side leg area. I had my mom hold that area down and there wasn't anything, but when she let go, it came back. My problem was just the plastic was vibrating against a metal bar. I just put some duct tape from the inside and that stopped the problem. Duct tape fixes everything! hehe!! Let me know if that helps.
