swap the bulbs left to right and make sure its not a ballast issue
Then see the many threads on bulb choices- 4300k was stock color
5000 a bit more blue, 6000 way more blue but less white on the road
5000k good choice- Kaixen a good brand

I'm having the same damn problem. I bought a new OEM ballast off ebay, replaced it today and found out it's the bloody bulb that's flickering off. So pissed. It's embarrassing to have you light flicker like all hell and then go out on a turn.
Should have swapped the bulbs to see if it occurs with the bulb from the other side. Test out the cheapest part first, which is the bulb, so you won't be replacing an expensive part that need not be replaced.
It's all good, I used my tax return to pay the ballast. Since I replaced the driver's side in spring I figured it would be good to replace the other side sooner rather than later. When I removed the passenger side it was working but looked quite rusty and spent.

I had the same problem and swapped them and haven't had an issue since (140,000 miles on original bulbs).
