Do 01- to 03 headlights broadcast light better than 99-00 headlights? reason I ask is because I noticed that they have a different housings, and shape. also noticed that they use different HID bulbs D2S and D2R. Thanks

 

The 99-01 headlights use diffusers and the 02-03 do not, so i guess maybe a little. Why do you ask?

Maybe you just need new bulbs and polish the scratches out of the lens

D2R D2S same properties internally/gas etc - the base is a little different- one is OE the other fits the OE hole and the other popular size as well- a 2 in 1 bulb

You can get killer 6000K Kaixen zenon filled bulbs- low beams- from excelerate, an acurazine vendor

A distorted lense in front of the bulb that is inside the headlight housing.

 

how do i polish the lens? mine is all stratched up

Correct, but the 99-01 uses two lenses, one clear, one distorted. To be honest, they are probably about the same.

 

wet sand em ... or use plastx

 

99-03 all use D2R bulbs...3rd gen TL uses D2S/D2C because of teh projectors...they all fit the same tho
