im lookin to switch out my headlights for cooler ones what does the 8000k 10000k and stuff have to do with color and what is the best to get and where

 

its not really an upgrade but ok. the higher the number the more blue that is in the light. i beleive our lights are 45000k.

 

and i believe their illegal to drive, show car, its ok

 

The highest i would go with is 6k. Search around, there have been alot of HID threads lately

 

true if a cop holds a white peice of paper infront of your light and it looks blue your in for it. i think 45000 is the highest you can go.

 

Stock is 4300k, and usually ranges 4100-4300k for all cars. Projector HIDs look bluer because of projector effect, it's the same kelvin rating for the bulb.

No higher than 6k IMO. That's a good combination for visibility and color, but the maximum light output comes from stock bulbs.

 

i got 4300k in mine...i love em, crips n white, matches my white tl nicely.
