Headlight stolen>>>>>>>>>>>
I got my headlight stolen just one though one the driver side. it happened on Crescent St. in Astoria. Anyone around here make sure your car is safe!!! They took the head light damaged my fender and hood. Most damage came from fender. I need the housing cause I am going to put on regular bulbs.
What do i need to do to get the regular bulbs to work with the new housing? How much can I find the new housing for$$ ?
Any place you suggest I can find it cheaper I just need the driver side.
Thanks

That f*cking sucks, if it isn't one problem it is another right? Will insurance cover this? Whether you put reg bulbs or not they will probably still steal the headlights cause they don't know if it is HID or reg.

Go to either hunts point junk yard or behind Shea stadium, I am sure they will have them; most likely they are the ones who stole them. They are really easy to steal on the TL, I heard there was a way to lock them inn there with an install from a dealer, anyone know anything about that? I keep mine in the garage, but i have seen them stolen n under 20 seconds, I don’t want that done to me.

23 ave and Crescent Street. I have seen another TL close by hope nothing happens to that car.
I found a new light for under $90 does this sound good?
I plan to vin etch the new housing plus the old one. Do you think it would help al least some bit?
How much are proximity sensors?
where can I get the best deal for install?
What are the best?
Thanks

Viper makes some sick alarms that will notify you if the proximity sensor goes off or the alarm but you need to be within 1/2 mile of the car I think. Stereo Upgrade off of Atlantic Ave in Ozone Park has some good deals

damn.... I've parked by there plenty of times when visiting family. Did it happen overnight or in broad daylight?
Have you found replacement parts yet? That really sucks that the hood & fender got damaged too. Even with the insurance deductible you'll still have to go to a body shop probably.
f'n a-holes should die
good luck getting everything fixed

Let me ask you , what year was your TL? Because i heard that the newer TL's headlights (2003) were not possible to steal because they were attached to the bumper....Highly doubt this but i'd like to know what you guys think..

I heard they were still running in Queen Point, but I have yet to confirm that. Last time I was there. 5 hours, no cops. Crazy.
Even if the headlight i attached to the bumper, they would still steal it. All they need are the bulbs and the ballasts. The theives wouldn't really care if the headlight broke and long as the HID is ok.
