Not really you should only have serious glare problems with d2s because it is setup for projector HID systems.

ok so i could not find 6000k philips d2rs only had 6000k and 8000k d2s. thought i would give them a try. i saw no more glare than the 4100k oem bulb, but it does have a less obvious cutoff. only problem is passenger side bulb has a blue tint and with less output. not sure why perhaps not broken in or defective?

Two reasons for bulb changing color typically, either its on it way out which I doubt since you just bought it unless it is defective or the ballast is on the way out. Btw very nice headlights they look brand new my shits so f***ed up i need to find some time to wet sand some day

Also did you mean they didn't have 5000k? plus 6000k is typically pretty blue trust me.

No those are 8000k d2c bulbs. I'm not sure why one side is more blue. I really like the colour on the road. I clean my headlights once a week lol.

Got a new bulb to replace the defective one, while putting in the new one, one side of the spring snapped and broke! So pissed off. There is very little space too to buy new spring and replace. For now I'm holding it in with heat resistant tape until I get it fixed.

ok i found a clip in a junkyard and managed to replace it. its just a screw that needs to be removed. very easy. then i installed 6000k D2R as everyone here been recommending and i am very disappointed so far. compared to the 4300k osrams and 8000k generics its very dim with no light on the road in city driving. in dark highway driving the lightput is about the same as the 8000k. i have 6000k fogs and its much brighter than the headlight and thats with the stock glare shield too! the fogs are pure white with maybe a hint of blue tint. however the headlight has a slight green tint to it!? the fog light bulbs are generic as well with aftermarket slim ballasts. Everyone tells me how bright my fog lights are even though the headlights are using the same bulb. i was wondering maybe this is an issue with my ballasts? or should i shell out a hundred bucks for philips ultinons?

the original picture looked fine, none of the 2nd gen TL headlights are very bright compared to most because most HID's use projectors, which is fine with me since i hate being blinded by headlights that are abnormally bright. thats why cars have high beams.

does any of the interior lighting in the car appear dim at all? i wonder if you have bad grounds somewhere.

no rest of lights are fine. specially the fog lights, they are very bright. about 2x as bright as my low beams. they are 9006 35w 6000k hid, awesome pure white colour. my headlights are similar but are lot dimmer with a green tint. honestly the 8000k lows were brighter, the only reason i changed back to 6000k was to improve output. i don't think its the reflector/housing fault. seen nissan altimas with similar housing and very bright HIDs.

I think I'll take the plunge and replace my original 10yr old HID's with some replacements from DDM Tuning:
Should I go with the 4500K or the 5000K? I really just want the best brightest output. My understanding is the the 4300K range puts out the most usable light. Which should I go for?

i don't have a video of the 6000k yet but brightness is similar. should have kept the 8000 even though i had glare.

6000k d2r along with 6000k fogs. notice the different colour temps between the fogs and lows, even though they are both 6000k! wtf?

and the 8000k d2c with 6000k fogs
