if you have a choice of doing a headlight conversion on the TLS, what kinda of headlight would you choose. Suggestions, The only conversion I have seen on a TL is the gs lights on NJZprettyboys car and it looks damn nice. just wnat to see what others would do if they have a choice of headlight conversions. Myself I would have done the MB aomeba lights like the s500. WHAT ABOUT YOU

oh how about the 04 tl headlight on the 02 tl. That would look hot huh. Personally I dont like the 3 gen tl taillights. I think 04 headlight and 02 taillight is a good ass combo. Well let see some more suggestions.

 

I would like 02-03 TL headlights in my 99... but that means whole front end conversion that or 03 CL's!

actually i think someone has done the projector conversion on a TL. Hm, can't remember who but it looked decent. Personally I'd leave it be

 

I believe it was Redryder or something like that, he did a oem projector conversion, basically took a oem projector from a bmw, audi, etc, and did a retrofit in to our housing.

before my gs conversion, i had an X5 projector retrofit..it was damn bright, but it gave the whole front of the car a new look...it looked mean, like there were 2 eyes staring back at you lol

member njzprettyboy, has done a lexus GS conversion, looks fugly if you ask me. To me it looks like a bastard child between a 03 TLS and a GS430 (and traces of some sort of MB @ grill).

 

i would keep my car recognizable by living the looks there (it is what it is) and just change the headlight bulb to the current q45 piece with the mini-projectors.

I hate projector lights. I dont know why but they aint for me. everyone has their own taste and personally I think njzprettyboy's car looks nice as hell. Unique. I mean people have their own imagination and some works and some dont, i guess many wants to keep the TLS as is but I am jsut saying WHAT IF.

Well after doing some research, what I PERSONALLY think would look nice is the lancer lights and the is 300 lights.

I also took a look at the skylike headlights but dont think it would look nice.

All you need to do is clear your headlights, i think the TL headlights, specially the 02-03 ones are good looking enough.

 

the accord has some dam good looking aftermarket lights. i think for the cheaper price and some light mods we can go for them.

 

try an 04 conversion, that would be insane

 

That is what I originally thought first. i think the 04 or even the TSX headlights will loook insanely good on the 02. I think the skyline or th jdm skyline headlights will give the TLS too much of a "RACER" look. It will also look like a legend since the legend headlights are straight

 

few things you guys are overlooking...

for one thing, you must make sure the headlight will fit in the opening that is left by the stock headlight. meaning that it doesnt extend too far back. another thing is that right underneath the headlights, at least on the 99-01s, there is a steel beam that you cant cut or move. finally, the headlight should somewhat fit the car and the space left by the old headlight! good luck!

You have done 2 conversion so I am sure you know whaty ou are talking baout. thanks for the tips. I will keep that in mind when I am actually doin the conversion but I am jsut curious about what people would convert if they has a choice, not that I am actaully gonna go thru with it, YET

 

Best bet is retrofitting projectors from another car. Would probly run about 200 for just projectors. I would be willing to bet our bulbs would fit in newer acura projectors so maybe thats the solution.

More things I think maybe overlooked is all the new parts you need or need to have fitted. Hood, fenders, bumper and grill. Good bodywork isnt cheap but good luck to you and if you do it post pics lol.

I think they would look nice. The lancer headlights are kinda similar to the TLS headlights but looks a lot meaner. I like the evo headlights alot but the only drawback is that they look so similar to accord headlights but what do you guys think??

that is why I am asking YOu guys for inputs. The EVO headlights are pretty similar to the TL but looks A LOT MORE aggresive. will Do yoy guys think the GS conversion flow with the body. I think the EVO leadlights WOULD flow with the body but WHAT DO YOU THINK???

Looks kinda similar huh. Eceept that the IS 300 dont have the bar going thru the middle and no fog lights, thats it. I am now leaning alot towrads the is300 lights. more inputswill be greatly appreciated.!! thanks in advance
