Headlight adjusters don't move

After installing my 5k HID's the other day everything seemed to be normal. I didn't adjust it because I didn't have the proper tools to do so. Next day comes along and my buddy and I decide to adjust it, and for some reason we ended up taking off both headlights because after adjusting the lowbeams, the highbeams were completely out of wack. After correctly reinstalling the headlights, both the adjusters for each side stopped working. We did not drop the headlights or force anything in or out. ALL nuts and bolts are in the correct spots. We looked at the adjusting 10mm bolt itself and it does show signs that it is moving, BUT when we turned on the headlights the beams were not moving at all even after multiple revolutions. We turned the bolt BOTH ways and still no results.

At this point, I am stuck, even after searching through all the threads, no results. Please help AZINE.

the bolt? why are you using it instead of the normal method??

Look at top of housing- see the arrows and up/down?
ok now see the raised V shaped groove on the rear of housing above the adjuster nut?
insert a + screwdriver into the groove - tilt tool as needed, slide down the groove until the tip of the + fits into the teeth of the top gear--thats the real adjuster!

now twist screwdriver left or right as directed by the arrows to raise or lower beam.
see: headlight adjust diy for exact setting height and ~practical measurements~

The adjuster nut itself spins though but the beam of light is not moving at all.

if youre talking about the gear, you can actually use a philips head screwdriver or a 10mm ratchet

if they wont turn anymore- its reached a limit stop
remove housings and inspect

are the bulbs in correctly?
