Header Installation

I just received my Comptech headers and I will install tomorrow. I would appreciate it, if anyone could give me the service manual torqe specs for the headers and oxygen sensor. I have a 2002 TL-S. Thanks in advance.

TLJ711,

I don't have those specs sorry, but I would be real interested in the seat of the pants feel those headers give you. They are the next item on my upgrade list. I'd also like your feedback on the sound change. Do you have the Comptech Exhaust already?

I`ve just completed the comptech header & sway bar & spring mod. To answer your questions, 1. Sound; I have stock mufflers & there is no difference in the normal driving range. At vtec it is loud, but seems to be the injen cai. It is more pronounced since installation of the headers. I did a dyno test for Roar Inc. that included injen cai, k&n short intake, roar prototype filter, & stock. Ingen cai is mine. TL-S had 4600 miles. Stock had highest hp & torque. I had the feeling the stock exhaust manifolds were holding eveyrthing back. 2. performance; seat of the pants is a major increase at high power ranges, but probably just as important is less throttle resonse at normal speeds and a smoother engine. 3. Quality, I`m a quality engineer that inspects high performance aircraft and their parts and I have found the comptech headers are fabricated from excellent materials and more important, fit properly, I did the install. They are still over priced due to lack of competition, but are the best bang for the buck. If they get competition, probably $ 850 retail. I bought them from Tim`s site and I`m happy with the mod. This may need to go to a different post for dyno on the cai`s and new filter mod, adminstrator let me know.
