Question Header install in Maryland

I am now ready to get my OBX SS header installed. Where did you have the header installed and what price did you pay? If you did not have it installed at a dealer are you worried about warranty issue that my come up later. Thanx for any help.

Re: Header install in Maryland

I live in maryland between baltimore and dc, but i took mine to get installed in northern va at Vertex Motorsports. It's close to Tyson's corner. i forgot how much it cost to install, about $220 i think... I don't have the number handy, but it's on Springhill Rd in Mclean, VA. It's easy to find. And they're really friendly and cool about everything, you can even sit and watch, and plus, they've got experience working on a lot of TL's, so they're reliable. Give them a shot! It's worth it.

Um, i got springs and sways done with the headers. They got it all done in about 5 hours. So i guess for the header, maybe an hour or two. Like i said, they've worked on a lot of TL's/CL's, because of the OBX header sale online a while back, a lot of people bought them and took them to Vertex to get installed. So they know what they're doing and they do a good job. They're really laid back, and the owner Steve is really cool. He even asked if i had gotten word of them through this forum, so he's well aware of what's going on. $220 is a lot, but i think it's worth it. Especially when you're dealing with headers. They could probably do it blindfolded based on the number of times they've done those installs on TL's. But yeah, there might be cheaper places around, i guess just check them out.

I know a guy at Gaithersburg Acura that would do it for $100 or less, depends on what you work out. He does some work on the side in the evenings. Give me an email for his info. He put on my sways in about 20 minutes for $40.

Go to Pohanka Acura and ask for Jerry Soriano. They'll probably charge you like $200.
