Ok, i had the same similar problem with the whole code shit. I didnt know about the whole code thing till after i had reconnected my battery and saw that it was locked up. I ended up calling the dealership where the original owner of my TL had bought it from. They had the HU code on file in the paper work. Once i got it i punched the numbers in as i read them from left to right and wala, IT UNLOCKED.

You my friend, sounds like you need to first find out what dealership exactly that headunit was bought from. Obviously it was once inside a previous TL so you need to find out what dealership exactly that HU was originally bought at. Once you know that, get the number to that dealership and call em. Ask them if they can check the paper work they have for whichever TL that HU had originally been in and was bought from there. If they got it, your str8. Punch in the number in order from left to right and it should unlock. Now, if it doesnt work then either its the wrong code or, maybe your 10 TRIES are UP and you need to wait however much time till the BOSE HU lets you try 10 more times. UNDERSTAND?????

Either you have the wrong code, or your not punching it in right, orrrrrr, the BOSE HU 10 Attempts have been made and you have to wait the time till it lets you try again. Those are the only ways i can see that HU not unlocking.

Call another dealer, give them the same serial #, and see if they give you the same code. My dealership made a typo when I gave them the code the first time, muchos frustration after that.

Well if you got it replaced there and they took the new code and left the old, go in there and tell them. and dont let them charge you since you dont have the right code after replacement
