HD Radio
I bought the JVC HD unit just to try from Crutchfield. It's not really worth it. You can tell that there is a difference, but it's not a big big difference. The way HD radio is set up is that it will switch between analog and digital signal if the digital signal isn't strong enough....the problem with this is, you can tell when it does this and it's annoying. I live in Orange County,CA where you would expect major implementation, but it doesn't seem so. So i returned it.
As I see it, unless HDRadio can get auto makers backing, they will dies in a few years. JVC has 1 entry level unit. Kenwood has seperate tuner. Apline has 2 models. Support is very limited, even after a couple years of roll out
