Hi! guys i would like to know what is the best thing to use for cleaning the car windows specially windshields. i am experience during rain day's. my wiper blade starts streaking like there is grease soil in my windshields and hazy its hard to see when im driving. i use windex nothing happen please need some advise many thanks TLOVER.

I love Acuras, but the windshield wipers are usually awful when it comes to streaking.

I could be wrong on this, but when I had the same problem on my 2000 TL, there was mention that the wiper blades themselves are defective since the winshield wash fluid reacts with the rubber...........in effect making the wipers melt. I went through the same nightmare with my CL. I wash the windows constantly, and also the blades, but the things always streak.

One way to end the irritation is Rain-X.........then above 25 mph you need not even use the wipers.

I agree with Aconcagua, I have a problem with mine when I got it not even 2 months ago ('03 TL-S) and I put rain X and problem gone. I used rain-X in all my cars and it really works, I will not have a car without rain-X on it.

There is a service bulletin for this 01-004 to replace the tubing.

SYMPTOM
The windshield wipers streak or smear the windshield.

PROBABLE CAUSE
Deteriorated material from inside the washer tubing
mixes with the washer fluid.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Flush the windshield washer reservoir,replace the
washer tubing,and replace the wiper blades.

This is the very best way to clean a windshield:

Buy a can of Bon AMI household cleanser - use ONLY Bon AMI, it doesn't scratch.

Wet the windshield, put a *very* small amount of cleanser on a wet sponge, clean the windshield. Hose off with plenty of water.

You'll have a sparkling clean windshield, the cleanser removes all off the road grime, oil and dust.

Now go to TireRack and buy a set of PIAA wipers. Use the enclosed windshield prep.

You won't believe the difference - much better than even Rain-X.

The TSB only applies to vehicles that have CLEAR washer hose. I involves replacing all the hose and installing new inserts. If you went out and bought aftermarket blades you will just get new inserts handed to you.

I had my tubbing replaced. My windshield didn't really smear but I figure my warranty was about to be over, I might as we get everything possible out of it. Well after they replaced my clear tubbing (which had black stuff floating in it) with the black one and new wipers. It smears my windshield like crazy. Aggrr. Should have left it well enough alone.
