HAWK Ceramic Pad Lifespan? Problems!!

I was curious what the lifespan of the HAWK ceramic pad’s are. I have them installed on my 2003 Acura TL-S and have Slotted Rotora Rotors. I do general driving with some aggressive braking here and there. I have had them for 20K miles and am experiencing a lot of “brake squeek” for the past 1K miles. Is this normal? Please let me know. Also is there a risk of messing up the Rotora Slotted Rotors while these pads are squeeking?

Thanks!

remove the calipers and inspect the pads
How thick are they- is there a shiny look to them? how are the rotors?
Sometimes they just need a rebedding to clean off crud and restore performance
I would expect 20k from performance pads on the TL, so check them for wear now.
