It has arrived!!! + Fog light question...
Hi all,
Great board, excellent information thanks for the great posts....
Well my TL-P (black with parchment) has finally arrived, picked it up Saturday and with one run to the cottage under its belt, it performs and drives like a dream.
Quick question re: fog lights. When I turn on the headlights, turn on the fog lights.. I should see them on correct?? Mine do not come on, is there something that I am missing or is it a trip back to the dealer in my near future??
Thanks..

fog lights
Your full headlights (xenons) have to be turned on for you to have the fog lights appear. If you're just using parking lights, then it won't turn on. There's a post in the FAQ if you want to rewire your car to have the option of turning on foglamps with just the parking lights but you'll have to check to see if it's legal in your area.
FYI, the area the fog lights illuminate covers about 2-3 metres (6-10 ft) in front and to the sides.

Thanks for your input.... I have checked and double checked, full headlights are on and high beams are not!
I have spoken with the dealer and after their last test suggestion (asked me to test the horn as sometimes fuses are removed in the showroom to prevent accidental alarms - he wasn't sure if they were related but was a something to ensure), looks like I am headed back to the dealer. Slight pain in the butt, but at least it will be fixed, I will update what the problem was.
Lesson learned, test everything before driving away!!!

Also, are your interior dash lights working? The fog lights are on the same circuit as the dash lights and if the fuse was blown you'd lose both. It's one of the under-hood ones near the firewall.

I really hope that this turns out to be a simple thing, chasing electrical problems can be a real pain (and time consuming). I was really hoping it was something I was doing wrong.

with the headlights on, the aux lights are not noticeable to me. it basically fills in the portion of the road between the lit pavement and the front of your car. this spot is so small that it can be missed easily. it think it's similar to the cl's unfunctional aux lights...but we can turn ours on and off.
