that the HID bulbs on the 2003 TL Type S have some type of black coating on them? Its possible the coating maybe on other TL's. But, I'm thinking we are not getting the full affect of the HID. Has anyone tried to remove the coating. If you did remove the coating, what did you use? Was there an improvement or did it blind on coming traffic.

Sorry if this has been discussed before. I did a search on HID bulbs and did not find any recent posts.

Are you talking about this?? If yes, that's how D2R bulb was designed.
Samething applies on 9006 bulb towards the front.
