Question has anyone installed the comptech headers?

ive had my car for about a month now i wanna have the comptech headers installed ...also i want to do the exhaust ..there seems to be many choices between cat back and axle back and a variety of prices ..im not concerned with the prices but i want the car to run right and also not look like it was thrown together (rigged)...i also wanna do a cold air intake i just had crome wheels put (giovanna corsca) i stuck with the 17's and the tires for now they look great ..thanks 4 your comments or help DD

Yes, headers are worth the money if you are looking for a power boost. I went with the Comptech axleback exhaust and Injen CAI mostly for sound. But you would get the most power output from the headers though. Can go wrong with any of the mods I mentioned and the result will probably be to your liking. Don't worry about the "rigged" look. They fit perfectly fine with our TLs.

If you have the cash and want to spend it all, the comptech stuff is the way to go. Very good quality but pricey.

The stock exhaust is very good, flow wise. Changing this doesn't really add any power. Headers are good, but you will only see the increase once the rpm's are 5000+. Good for the 1/4, but not much use for 0-60 as we do this not even using all of 2nd gear.

The RES will be great, its supposed to affect the whole rpm range.


Another mod you should look into is the comptech Sway Bars. They do not affect ride quality at all, but help greatly in the twisties!!!

There is a mild increase below 5K... Since, Mike's graph was considered an anomaly, I grabbed a couple of traces from syncivic's RES plots and here it is:
