Unhappy And it happened... =(

I don't know if i want to cry or not....

Heres what happened...

I was driving home from work going westbound. I was on the middle lane (theres three) I saw a car swerving in and out of traffic on my rearview mirror. I saw car switch lanes to the right, then he lost control and side swipped my car. So, i tried my best to keep my car under control, but since it was raining and the floor was wet... I jumped a curb into a grassy area where there was a ditch with rocks. Nope, that doesn't stop me...so I jumped that too and finally came to a stop. My car was on the road with traffic coming. Lucky no one else hit my car. Lost one of the tailpipe too...couldn't find it anywhere...

I would say he was going about 60 mph on a damn wet road...i was going 40-45 (speed limit is 40).

He was driving a Mercury Grand Marques <sp?>

Gotta call the insurance tomorrow morning...my heart is aching just looking at it.

Damn, you're lucky you didn't get hurt. Your suspension is probably trashed, I'd have the insurance or someone check it out. I hit a curb a while back and just noticed a bent control arm so check the suspension well. Hope everything turns out ok.

^^ don't think anything really happened to the suspension...drove home alright and it was driving straight. Might be some hidden damages...I just have to wait and find out what needs to be replaced...

Thank god you are OK. Good thing is the car doesn't look too damaged. And good thing it wasn't a hit and run.

sorry to hear about that. i know how you feel b/c it reminds me of when i got t-boned. it hurts and you're just wondering why me. but in the end, at least you're ok. the car is replaceable but the human body is not. just keep that in mind.

Did you get out of the car and ask why the F*** he was driving like a F***in' A**hole!?
That's the first thing I woulda done...And if he gave a smart ass answer, I'da gotten the wrench outta my trunk and beat him in the face with it!

Did you do that? Sounds like you kept your cool though...I guess that's good since there was a cop nearby.

I got out of my car and i said "WTF?....WTF??, why the fuck were u speeding down a damn road when it was raining?!"

All he could say was i'm sorry and i didn't know how it happened...

Really wanted to sock that bastard, but what good can that do? I probably would of gotten cited for assaulting. Good thing there were some pedestrian that saw the whole thing...plus they said they almost got hit.... Thank god they didn't get hurt.

I'm sorry Wilson, that totally sucks! Thank God you're okay though and that f*cker blew a tire. Where did this happen? I'm guessing this was when the storm hit last night? I was getting blown all over the road on the way to my girls place on the 60 East around 7:15 last night. Could barely see two feet in front of the car. I can't imagine driving fast in that kind of weather. Unbelievable.

Update:

So, I called the guys insurance and filed a claim for the accident. Now I have to wait 3 business days for them to call me back to set up an appointment for an appraiser to come out and take a look at the car. In the meantime, I need to find a place to get a rental car. They said to go out and rent a car that is close to the TL and mail them the bill to get reimburse for it.

As for his insurance company anyone ever heard of Occidental Fire & Casualty? Cause I have never heard of this place...

Also, want to thank you guys for your support

Oh yeah, Wilson, DO NOT go to Acura of Peoria collision center. It's called Collision Center of Peoria and it's actually on the Acura of Peoria lot in the back. That's where I took my CL to get it's bumper repaired and not only did they do a terrible job repairing it but they also put two holes in my leather seats. Just a heads up. Good luck with the appraiser. Keep us updated!

No, I don't, just because that's been my only experience with body work out here in AZ. I was treated really well at Scottsdale Acura though, so most likely if I ever needed any more body work done, I'd go through them.

Update:

So, i'm taking the car down to the body shop to undergo some surgery. Not sure whats the total estimate since they still need to get the car under the lift to see what other problems I have underneath. So pretty much the other insurance has accepted the liability of fixing the car.

Rented a car on Saturday...asked for a mid size car but they didn't have anything besides compact cars. So I asked her what is comparable to an Acura TL. She said it's a luxury car and the only car they have out there is a Dodge Charger. So, I got the Charger as a rental now. When I first got in the car I was like...cool I get to test out the power of the Charger. All I have to say it's a POS...didn't know it was the lowest model of all the Chargers, 2.7L V6... Never knew they have a 2.7L model...thought the lowest was the 3.5L V6. Well, long story short about that car...feels like i'm driving a tank with a lawn mower engine. My friends 03 Civic Ex has more kick in his car than the Charger...lol

Another update:

Took the car into the shop to get it fix...the guy said it's gonna take probably a couple weeks to get it fixed. Total cost of getting it done is $6010.10 dollars... I'm kinda glad my car is in the shop and can't wait to get her back. Just knowing its been in an accident it just won't feel the same...
