H & R Springs !!

Hey guys,

I have seen a set of H & R Springs for sale, but they have been used for about 1 year. Is it a good idea to purchase these used springs or should I just opt to buy some new ones? Also, what is up with the harse ride when the new springs are installed? Is there anyway of installing the new springs without degrading the ride quality? One more thing, do I need to install new shocks when installing the springs? If so, what are some good shocks to install without having to spend an arm and a leg?

Thanks!!

What is the price of the springs, only buy them if there less than a hundred, they should be ok unless they have been cut for a lower ride. I dont think that these springs should degrade the ride that much from stock, I am getting my brand new ones shipped next week hopefully for 140. And I think that you only need the shocks after like a year or two with the springs installed.

Used sprigns should be fine. They last very long. H&R sports or OE will not degrade the ride quality or very minimal. You do not need new shocks with new springs. Cost of install < $200

RE: H & R Springs

Which type of H & R springs should I purchase? There is 3 to choose from: (1) OE Sport Springs; (2) Race Springs; (3) and the Sport Springs. I see that the Race springs give you the even look (1.75 for front and rear)

$145 is the cheapest on the net. they average $175 when you do a search. Go with the new, you dont know the integrity of the older springs.
