Post H&R Race springs too much of a drop????

I can get the H&R Race springs installed but I was wondering if it was too extreme of a drop. Can the TL's suspension handle it? Also will a wheel alignment fix any probs i might have???

Thanks
Allan

they have about a 2 inch drop which most likely means they're stiffer. stiffer springs means you should get shocks. if not, your OEM shocks would definitely die quickly.
i'd recommend getting konis or tokicos with your springs. not only will the last longer than OEM shocks, but it will also help out your handling. your ride would be alot better than having aftermarket springs with OEM shocks. .
you should get an alignment if you plan on doing anything with the suspension.

a year if you're lucky.
why don't you do it all at once because you'll save money in the long run with installation costs and time.
i think most people would say go with comptechs if you don't plan on changing shocks.

How about if I got the H&R sport springs with the similar drop to the comptechs? Will it be ok to keep my shocks like with the comptechs? I really dont want to spend all of my money on shocks right now, but i also dont want to spend money on new shocks if mine go out quickly.

the HR OE sport spring probably won't be as bad a ride as the race springs. but i'm just speaking from experience. i had eibach prokits on my 95 camry and it didn't take long for my shocks to give out. even though it's a camry, i would expect similar results from a TL w/H&R. i wouldn't do it. my philosophy is that if you're gonna do it, do it right the first time and don't hassle with any fix ups or improvements. that's why i'm gonna wait for the right coilovers. they're more money, but i know they'll be worth it. think in the long run.
why don't you get comptechs? i don't recall ever hearing complaints about them

I have the H&R's and I like them. Did not do anything else but the sport drop springs, camber kit, and Computer allignment. I love them and the car looks great. But do consider I am on 17 in rims!! I can email you pics, have not got them on the sight yet.

If I were you I will get a neuspeed spring as Vdo does. It looks sweet with perfect height as H&R.
