H.I.D kit question

I bought a 8000k kit for the TL and I was planning on doing the job next week. Here's the question and I'm sure it's simple for you guys but it's got me confused.

The high beams from factory are a 9005 bulb correct?

Now this kit that I have has 9004 bulbs, are these correct bulb type to fit the one's behind the cover?.

And as you guys know the engine bay is tight so do I need to take out the air box and all that to access the driver side? To me it looks like that little cover has to come out, the air box and maybe the battery, but that's why I'm checking in here.
And the passenger side looks somewhat doable but also jam packed

Let me know please.

Thanks !

no wait is gonna fit... the highbeam is 9005 and foglamps are 9006 and 9004 are mainly for dodge caravans ,chrsyler town & country... and nissan maxima 95 to 99... so i suggest you get a 9005 for the highbeam

I've replaced my high beams already since the safety required it to be done. I'm asking if the kit that I have will fit properly for the normal running lights.

Well I been reading around and it seems I don't need the ballasts that the kit comes with since our stock one's produce enough power to feed the higher k bulbs. Is that correct?

I really wish the shop that sold me this kit would have know that.

I'm running 9005 silverstars as my hb's right now and I guess I can just use the D2R bulbs and not use the ballasts the kit came with?

This is way too complicated, how about one type of bulb for halogen, one for hid etc etc. blah!

If I understand correct your talking about low beams. If so first return the 9004 kit and get a pair of d2r bulbs. Doesnr matter what k you. Keep in mind the higher amount of k you get, you'll get less usable light output.

So your sure that the bulb that I have in my hand in the picture will not fit? The whole light spectrum thing doesn't bother me, so not worried about that at all.

He's talking about the high beams. The high beam bulb is 9005. Not sure if the 9004 will work on it or not, but you do need the ballasts to power up the HID's if you're gonna put it in your high beams cause the factory ballast for the low's won't power them.

Ok that still doesn't answer my question. I think I'll disconnect the battery and open up the housing to take a peek.

Someone seriously needs to do a step by step writeup on this.
