do they really HAVE to stand for anything? from what i know they just decided to copy the other luxury names and do the alphanumerical naming and give up on words for their car names. so maybe there is NO meaning behind the letters

yes i agree they dont know what theyre talking about... one dealer was arguing with me saying the TL has halogen lights and not HIDs
after going back and forth with me trying to prove a point he ended up telling me how HIDs work (which i already knew) to make it seem like he knew what he was talking about. so i just gave up on the topic cuz he was stuck on his view - which was wrong
once again another example that dealers dont know squat

they don't need to know anything about the car...they just need to sell it
we are car enthusiasts...of course we will know more about the car than they will..
they have to deal with so many types of cars and then the cars have changes and they have to remember that too..
I also have a story. When we went to look at a Maxima-- the salesguy (was the manager too!) tried to tell me the Maxima is in the same class as the M5...i argued and then I realized he never explained why...he said "they are both sport sedans"
i knew he wasnt going to give me a good deal after I laughed so I ended up buying from another dealer

The car can be named Buggy for all I care. Name of the car is the last thing I worry about.
