Ground Control Installation...Please Help!

Im about to install my GC coilovers sooooon, and I need to know one thing...If I am not going to SLAM my car with these, do I have to trim the bumpstops, like it says in the directions??? If I just plan to have the car low as a prokit about 2 inches in front and back, do I still have to trim it??? Because I heard once you trim bumpstops and put stock springs back in, the shocks will make squeeking noises...is this true??? please give me some info. thanks!!!

Cut them as recommended. THen when you decide to sell/trade the car and put the stock springs back in then just buy new bumpstops. They are only like $8 a piece anyways.

SinnedTL.......I jus got my Ground Controls put in and they did cut the bumpstops. Also I jus found out that my rear shocks exploded and are leakin oil so I need to buy new heavy duty shocks and have to go through all the labor again. I dunno if anyone lese had this problem so I dunno maybe you should consider replacing the rear shocks while your at it to save yourself some trouble later. Then again maybe it was just my car.

Yea i cut my bumpstops and installed it last night and in the morning, it is a long job, especially when your doing it yourself, the good thing is there is no need to compress to get the ground controls in....but my shocks are not leaking oil or anything, btw howd you find out your shocks were leaking oil??? Plus I didnt slam my car, about 2 fingers all around...so I hope it lasts a bit longer, when I do blow my shocks I will probably get some tokicos...some inexpensive ones...anyways thanks for the info...Ground controls ride pretty nice though...
