ground control coilovers

Someone offered me a set of new ground control coilovers for a very reasonable price. Anyone have any experience with these on their TLs. Are they any good? Any recommendations?

if I could've got ground control coilovers I would've.unfortunately I havent had any experience with them on a TL but I've heard they are very good and they're supposed to come with Eibach springs which to me are the best.

but if you want to have the best coilovers get the NEX complete coil-over suspension. to me those are the best. they'll run you about a $1,000. if everything goes good my friend will sell me his. they have a great height adjustability you could have a little drop like a comptech or you could slam it tucking your stock rim.

hope this helps.

I am getting the coilovers for the same price as the comptech springs. So you would recommend them over the CT springs? Hows the ride quality with coilovers?

I would get the coilovers because I like to have control of how high or low my car can go. unlike springs you put them in and your car is gonna be the same height until you change them or cut them ( i extremly recommened you dont cut any spring).

it's up to you.

I have ground controls and I am very happy with them. Ride is good, albeit stiffer than stock, but no bounce at all.

love the gound control. if you don't decided to buy a full coilover shock set up like nex, i would suugest ground control. i have had them on my last 3 cars, a civic, accord, and now the tl. the quality is good and the convenience of being able to raise and lower is very nice.

NSX4DR, hows the drive with the stock shocks? How low do you have the coilovers now? Also, I see that you have a razo shifter. I was looking at them and didn't find any that fit the sports shifter. What model do you have?

moomaster_99 has got them on his CLS.... The ride is kind of rough... but he's got 1000 lbs springs in the front with konis... and don't know what he has the back... But I guess good for

But I was following him home from Comptech a week ago... and he hit a bump on 80 and bounced up and down for a while...

If you want to have total control of the height of your car and drag it I guess it is good.

I've heard that coilovers make noises compared to springs. Had some coilovers on my old car and the ride was great and it made no noises, but the TL could be different. Anyone get noises from thier coilovers?

That's odd because I have the Apexi Coilovers on my TL for a few months now and there are NO noises.
BTW, what coilovers were you talking about?

AND

To all Apexi Coilovers owner, does it make noises because mine doesn't and I hope it stays that way.

Talking

As soon as I can save up $850 bucks, I'm gonna order the Apexi coilovers from Tim.

I just wanna add that the many times that I rode in Blackshadow's car, it was very comfortable with the Coilovers, abit more bite then the stock but that comes with the territory of any lowered vehicle but it's very much like stock. And it handles alot better of course too!

It rides nice......I have it dropped 2.5" w/19" wheels, when I had my 18s I had it down a full 3.25"........

I have the Razo RA25 shift knob, it comes with different size pieces to fit all shifters......
