Question grille question

I'm new to the forum so please excuse my noob question. I'm learning as I go. I am looking at a custom upper and lower grille for my car. One has 1/4 inch holes and one has 5/32 inch holes. Would either of these (especially the one with smaller holes) affect performance or hurt the engine by restricting air flow? Thanks guys...

Don't go with that pre-cut crap that everyone's doing, make your own.

IMO all that "holes" junk is making our cars look like some ricey F-150 with billet grilles with the same holes. Why would you even want that?

BLING? Just trying to understand the thought process at work here

I'm just looking to upgrade my front end, and give it a more aggressive and clean look. So I figured a grille would be the best way, and I figured a pre-cut grille would be the best and cheap way. My first choice would be a mugen grille but thats not gonna happen. So what would you suggest making it out of? I'm just trying to get ideas....
