Wanted to say hello to all, and add my experience with my 1999 TL to the forum. I purchased my TL back in Sept of '98 and have been in love ever since. Only probs I have ever had are a squeak (fixed immediately) in the sunroof, and warped front rotors. Other than that, the car has been a dream. Many things drew me to my TL...the silky ride, smooth yet powerful acceleration, and understated looks.

Drawbacks? Brakes! For some reason, as the front rotors heat up from use, they tend to "warble" a bit. I do not "ride" my brakes or use two feet for manuvering...so I dont get this. Acura replaced the first warped rotors (15k miles)...but refused on the second pair for the front. I have ordered EBC green pads hoping to solve the problem. My next step is to go ahead and simply upgrade to better disks...

And the paint....there is not a rock that does not seem to find its way onto my hood.


54k miles and still loving it! "Black Thunder" got her first mod today....I added a short ram air intake with K&N filter. God I never new how awesome VTEC sounded! Maybe I only got 1 more horsepower outta the mod....but the new sounds under the hood are priceless.

Question...anyone know what the recommended "BG Brand Preventative Maintenance Kit" is? Dealer says I need it with the 52K service.

Welcome to the Forum! It's about time you joined us on here. I believe the BG PM kit is Acura's fuel injector cleaning kit.

 

been using NK44 fuel injector cleaner...wonder if the BK is somehow diff or better?

I also have a 99 TL but with plenty of mods. Damn, I thought I waited long for my fist mod (2 years before I started modding anything on my TL) but you beat me.

BTW, where you from and what took you so long to sign up?
