GPS - software/firmware update

I know you can buy new DVD's for the GPS - what about a software/firmware update? I have a 2001 Acura TL. Does anyone know what the latest version is?

If you search this forum from last week around 5-8-03, there is a whole history on this topic. It was called "New Navi DVD out?' I think.

Thanks- I was wondering if it possible to update the software without purchasing the new DVD or are they directly tied to eachother?
