Got Whacked

I was waiting at a light to make a rigth turn on Saturday when I suddenly feel this whack. Damn! Some 65 year old women who could barely see over the steering wheel and who's Chevy Prizm bore the marks of many other "mishaps" ran right into me. Good thing I was off center making a turn or it could have been more serious. Luckily she just gave me a glancing blow before tagging the car beside me.

Had to give the old gal credit for trying though - she tried telling the officer that she was pushed into me from behind by another car that drove off. I'm sure there was no one behind her when she hit me, and her rear bumper has no damage.

They really do need to driving test mandatory for older drivers.

Damn that sucks ... Hopefully a good bodyshop will be able to fix that up and make it look brand new though! Like you said, on the bright side, it could have been worse... But I definitely agree with you that some old people really do not deserve to have a license anymore!

Ugh. Sorry to hear that. I've always felt the DMV should have a "whack-a-mole" machine to test more elderly drivers for reflexes. I respect my elders, but sometimes their driving skills need to be, umm, re-evaluated.
