Post Got springs on!!!

Yeah baby! Got my springs on. They are sweeeeet! Corners are like nothing!! Sways did absolutely nothing compared to this! Of course since I got sways first I can't say that the sway + spring combination isn't helping.

Looks-wise, its dark outside.

If you've been thinking of this mod... DO IT! It rocks!!

Yo Nate, where did you get the installation done and did you get the springs from Tim?

Damn, I can't wait to get my Comptech springs!

BTW, don't forget to take pics and post them. Also how much was the drop for the front and the back?

Nate,

Glad you're enjoying the ride.
Is your car more bouncy at all? I want to have the handling that the springs give you but I don't want to loose the smooth ride of the stock.

btw, where did you get your burlwood dash kit from, and how much??

Yep, naturally got everything from Tim, dash kit as well as springs. And intake and sways. The dash kit is the old one he used to sell. It doesn't have as many pieces and the radio piece is different.

Got the installation done at R-Sports, a privately owned little performance shop up here.

Drop is 1.25"? I forget... wish it wasn't dark so I could see how it looks! Bad news is that I no longer clear a curb. Without the drop my kit cleared one by a cooch hair, now its just below a curb. Just have to be careful.

Ride quality is pretty much the same! I'm definitely impressed with that. I can probably feel bumps I hit a little easier, but its such a small difference that I'm not sure if I'm just imagining it or not. Though I haven't hit any big ass bumps... not that I plan too!

I do plan on taking assloads of pics once I get rims. I've already promised pics of the blue LEDs, Inspire wheel, and rims.

park ave acura is starting to install comptech stuff. they charge $350 to install springs, sways and do a 4 wheel alignment. prices on parts are also very competitive, i think they are about $20 less than any where else if you count the shipping and handling. If you have any questions call Peter at park ave 201-587-0029, thats who i dealt with when i called.

Question

Does anybody know any a good cheap place to install springs and sways in the metro area? Does it take long to do both at the same time? Maybe a discount perhaps?

Hey Nate, how does your car look??? I wanna lower my ride but i dont want to rub. I want to still be able to make it over speed bumps. Do the springs weigh less than the stock ones and what is your hp gain?

Its all to the good my TL brotha. By summer we'll both have visor monitors right? Once I've done headers and exhaust and a few other things I'm going to have to call it quits. Just pimping it out for summer then I start saving toward other things (like paying the car off LOL ). You'll always have the NOS on me thats for sure!

I must've gained atleast 35-55 hp. But since the springs are so much heavier it really comes out to more like 25 or so. And no, can't make it over speed bumps, but the hp gain is worth it!

The sad part about TLon19s post is that its almost true. Except the part about him having navi.
