Ok, now I want a damn supercharger.

Rollin home on the usual route in the '99 SSM, a not-so-stock Prelude wanted to play. Ok, whatever.

First run we wernt sure we got the "messages" so he took off a little, then i punched it, and i took him. Bad start for both of us.

Second run, he screwed up shifting and got a horrible start.

Third run, he smoked me. full car length by 70 MPH. He had a coffie can on the back and Intake, thats all i could tell. god knows what else he did to it. I had TCS and the A/C off, but i just filled gas, and i had the subs and 2 computers in the trunk, so that wasnt helping.

That's it, im calling Comptech. Wheres my check book? Oh right, I'm broke. Sh!t.

 

lol a modded prelude w/ manual will take a TL anyday. I've said it once and i'll say it again: Manual trannies are a LOT more efficient than automatic trannies. You're prolly putting down about the same amount of hp as him, but you weight like 600 pounds more

his car is 1000lb less than urs...
and modded DOHC VTEC engine is damn fast...

maybe a TL-S is the answer~

TL-S still auto and SOHC..

 

yeah sohc..v6.. and a prelude weights 2900lbs..so we have 600lbs more not 1000lbs

my friend drives a stock RSX-S and her brother drives a heavily moded prelude...

her RSX-S stock beats the heavily moded lude...
and RSX-S is a bit slower than the TL-S

which means TL-S > RSX-S > prelude.....=)
but now her brother got an intergra type R now...so...haha...will spank the TL-S for sure!!

 

Yeah, i ran a prelude "Sh" once, on the freeway, He was my friend we going 130 is when i pulled him. I beat him by a car lenght But then again all he had was an intake, so after mods i don't know he might have been able to win me by a car lenth.
I can't wait till i get my integra all juiced up. Because i know a integra manual running with a type s is a potential, the integra with the turbo will win, against a stock type S.

 

What do you call a heavily modded Prelude, because stock for stock a RSX-S is not that much faster than a manual 93-01 Prelude at all. A heavily modded lude should walk a stock RSX-S. A RSX-s should give a TLS a good run if driven well!

my friend owns both of them and stock RSX-S is faster than the moded lude...

 

it might be a base modle prelude because the type SH are really fast

 

The guy that toasted me was not in an SH. He had factory wheels still, and they were the non-SH wheels. And im in a TL-P not TL-S

 

a type sh is no faster than a regular lude. and a stock integ type r can't beat a tl-s, don't even question it. and as far as the lude is concerned in general, it's stupid because for a grand more you can have a tl...

 

how can u get faster in the SH than the base model if having the same tranny and same engine with same output?

 

Heh, SH is actually SLOWER in a straight line. Why? It has ATTS active torque transfer system..which adds about 300 pounds to the car. What it does is allow you to corner much better..it tranfers torque to the outside wheels
