Got a question

Im looking to buy a 2002-2003 TL-S, but now I'm scared $hitless after reading about all the transmission failure horror stories. My wife previously leased a 2000 TL and i've been in love with them since...

My question is...Is there anyway to tell if the transmission has been replaced visually? Relying on the dealer or private seller to inform me of this might now be the best idea.

Thanks in advance...

Don't worry about the transmission. Just get the car and be happy.

no real way to tell by looking at it. about the only way would be a vin check thru the dealer.

also wether or not its had a replacement doesnt really mean anything as far as the condition of the car or the tranny

From what I can tell, you have to be an owner to use that site...
