got myself a navi (hooks to laptop)
Not too shabby for 43 dollars: Rand McNally Streetfinder 2000. It was on clearance at Office Depot. I think regular is 100 or something. All I could test for tonight is take a ride around the block. It picked up the signal pretty quickly. My monitor showed me what street I was on, and what direction I was heading. Will do further testing tomorrow.

glad yours works - i tried the same unit last year and it NEVER got the satellite signal, no matter where i was. i took it back, and yes, it does list for $100 with the software.
