Talking Got my new chrome wheels today!

I had my new chrome wheels installed today at South Coast Acura. They are the OEM wheels, only chromed, and boy, they sure look nice. I had the moonroof visor installed today also. When I get time to figure out how to upload pictures I'll post the ones I took today.

All right, I didn't figure out the hosting by Photopoint thing; all Photopoint did was tick me off. So I uploaded them to my AOL space. Two pictures of the car with new wheels and one closeup of one of the wheels. Go here:

Heck, it works for EBay so you should have no trouble.

How do they cost? Do tehy change all the 4 set of rims or they modify your actual rims?

Are tehy worth it?

EzTider,

The car looks great! I have a DEP also and really didn't consider getting different rims but those look awesome! The chrome really sets of the green color. Can you tell me how much they cost to get put on?

Hey, I just noticed your wheels don't have the Acura symbol in the center. Is that on purpose or am I seeing things?

Answering questions...I was out the door at $768 for wheels installation and tax. John told me these are just some other customers new wheels sent out to be chromed and then swapped with mine. They will send mine out, have them chromed and someone else will buy them. They keep some in stock at all times on a rotating basis. I also got new rubber, although mine only had 1600 miles on them. I didn't notice the Acura symbol missing but one less symbol doesn't bother me. Now I'm going to tint this sucker.

I really like them. Are you sure they didn't polish the aluminum? How did they chrome them?

They don't look like polished aluminum at all. Being a Harley owner in So Cal I am well aware there are fifty chrome plating shops in the area...they just send the wheels out to one and have them chromed. I coulda done the same thing myself if I had been willing to forego the use of the car while it was done, and deal with the mounting / remounting hassles. If it stands still long enough they will chrome it down here :-)
