Make sure your lifting the front end both wheels together if you are starting with the front..

dont put any weight on current suspension by only lifting one side.

ck the Official DIY link,,3rd item down the gen2 main section--the one you posted this thread in

tips:
find the bolts in the center section of rear seat--they are offset from each other
1 for upper section-1 for lower--not in line with each other, others are hidden in the ends- pull edge forward to find
rear seat comes out to access top mounting bolts of rear shocks

loosen/seperate from strut- the big U clamp at bottem of front struts- lets strut unit drop down for easier removal

after install:
drive it to ck for loose bolts, thumps,,clunks.. TIRE RUB-especially rears on outer edge of tire
ck all bolts again,

get a 4 wheel thrust alignment

It will have negative camber-up to 1.5 degrees negative is no problem
if 2 degree neg camber- buy camber kits,, or eat tires, your choice
Dont let them bs you--without camber kits all they can adjust is the toe-
very simple job on the TL--
they charge more for cars with more adjustments possible--dont pay that!

So she sits so NICE now. Lame pictures for now due to the rain but I will set up some nice shoots when the sun comes out. I have HUGE tires. Almost twice the size they should be.. But she rides now. Some rubbing, but just because the tires are huge like I said.

QUESTION: The bumper tabs/stoppers on the inside of the fender, how many of you have cut them? Also, I was wondering would I be able to just roll them inwards?

don't see any pics. and are you talking about the fender liner inside the wheel wells? if so, you have to cut away some of it in order to reduce the rubbing. depends on how low u are for how much u have to cut. i kind of turned my wheel before i started cutting to see how much it would touch the fender liner and then cut the part that touched and left the rest.

i even was able to tuck a little bit above the fender near where the screws sit so it wouldn't hang once cut because the tabs/bolts aren't there anymore to keep it hung once you cut away at it.

My bad here they are -

When I first installed them, I put them at the HIGHEST setting & it was still way too low. I rubbed all around bad, drove 20MPH & all I saw in my rearview was smoke. I put spacers so now it doesn't rub. Only rubs if I go over a steep bump or do a full u-turn. The tires are 55's so I really can't wait to get some new wheels/rims. The bottom/tips of the mud flaps got scrapped off though. Haha

Looks good. The pictures you posted aren't at the highest setting though right?
How do they ride BTW?

hmm its a bit too low, and wasn't there a video online about a car they modded the suspension on with coilovers and the timing around the track only improved like 1 second? it needs like specified tuning and spring rate for front and back depending on weight distribution and type of suspension.
