got my car back! 2003 conversion done!

hey sup guys.

after a month and a lot of going to/from bodyshop/dealer, i finally got my car back today

the 2003 conversion is completed, and i also put in Phillips 6000k HIDs

the wing west front lip (and the rest of the ww kit) still needs to be installed though.. and the fogs too.. oh and the driver side flasher.. and also the hood lock cover and the plastic cover that goes over the headlights/grille.. i'll get that on friday.

here are 2 crappy pics i took tonite... i'll take daytime pics tomorrow.

6000k HIDs

2003 conversion.. without the front lip and fogs, with missing driver side flasher too

dont worry, it will look better than that with the front lip and fogs, etc

oh btw, insurance paid for almost everything.. (cuz of the accident) so it didnt cost me much... 600$ maybe.. 4-5k is for someone who'd pay for the whole thing.

no way i wouldve done a 2003 conversion before the SC if i had 5k hhaaha

Looks great, I like the 02/03 Front end a lot more. I am into looks more than performance so this was a good choice.

How much are you getting the fog light housings for? I need a set myself or really just a driver side. Let me know!! Been searching for a while and dont want to pay dealer prices!!!

i was wondering if theres anything different from the 02-03's body wise besides the Front end.. like the doors or rear or something.

Wow, your car looks so much like a Type S. Any chance someday you'll put in the Type S engine, to get that extra 25HP??? I guess you would want to upgrade to the 5 speed tranny also (although you'll be susceptible to the tranny problems, as opposed to 99's that have a lot less problems),

Nicely done man... I just got a '99 as well.... and now that you mentioned it, front end conversion looks good. Too bad it cost 5k I wouln't drop that kind of cash for it... unless I got into a car accident and have the other guy pay for it...

Looking fresh man... I don't think a "Type S" engine would be worth it since it's only 25 more hp and 16 more torque.. It's maybe 1/2 second faster than 00-03 TL-P. Definetly not worth it when I think the best option for you would be saving up for a RWD car with a lot more power next year sometime.

Sorry to be the party pooper around here. . .and don't get me wrong it looks nice, but for an extra $4000-$5000 you could have just traded in your 99 and bought an 02

it did not cost him a dime.....he was involved in a collision.....Insurance covered it.

well it actually cost me a few hundreds for extra parts/labor.. like i said if i had to pay to get everything done, i wouldve finished my 3.5L project instead

my car's perched on Tein SS coilovers.

i only replaced the bulbs, and you can get them from this guy in Taiwan, great guy to deal with and very good price. jus4bulbs@yahoo.com

hope this helps

Just curious on what needs to be upgraded for the front end conversion?
Hood, Fenders, Headlights, Front bumper.....????
I was also told that you may need to change the radiator support beem as well? Is that correct?
