This guy took 3 car lengths on within the first 60 ft !!! He walked away from me lol! He was manual transmission and V6 for sure.
I know what a TRD Solara is capable of! And believe me there was no blower involved... i would have heard it whining like a bish.

He was a really good driver... Either that or he had some 50hp headers lol.... Must have been nos. He didnt peel out what so ever. I have a new respect for that car man...

how did you handle your car? were you in SS mode? or did you simply just floor the gas and let the car do the work?

-Keep the a/c off
-put in SS mode
-Turn off VSA
-don't forget the gas is on the right :p
-if he pulls ahead, slam into him!!!

 

my cuz has a solara, stock and auto, i can eat him by miles. end of story.

I've taken Solara's by at least a car length before. I don't doubt they are fast but a TL-S should easily blow it away
I assumed you have a TL-S. If you have a TL-P I don't doubt you got your ass spanked.

 

wtf, i just beat a new solara with my modded 99 tl-p and a couple years ago i raped on on the street when i was stock and i have a 99 tl-p.

 

He did say he raced a TRD Solara, Is there not a difference in TRD and normal?

 

solara's are slow. even the TL-P can beat 'em..

I got a guy in my club that has a TRD Camry supercharged with the manual and I was SHOCKED at how fast it was. He took me on some runs up to 110mph and the car just rocketed. The car is silent as stock, barely a whine from the supercharger. I did not even hear a blow off valve.

He lied, he had a supercharger. A TL-S will whoop a Solara. A Tl-P will tie a Solara.Motor Trend got a 5.6 second run with the supercharger in the coupe and Road and Track got a 6.2 I think with the heavier convertible.

 

i have a tl-p and i have walked many solaras. you should have won unles he was sc'ed

 

if he was pullin' on you that early even with people in the car he had to be sc'd or sprayin somethin! and if u didnt start to catch up in 3rd gear then i don't know what the heck was going on.

dude he was stating that it wasnt a TRD, if it wasnt one he would have beat it. if it was a solara that some one threw a supercharger on(i.e.TRD) he would loose, but not by much!
