Gorilla Glue and Peanut Oil

TL/DR: Try peanut oil to remove cured gorilla glue before extreme measures.

The Long:
I messed up. I got gorilla glue on my rear door panel and it cured because I did not notice. Tried mineral spirits, goof-off, and acetone to no avail. Acetone probably would have worked over time, but it changed color of panel where applied, so I said screw it and was just going to live with my mistake. I just happened to touch base with my buddy who works in upholstery a few days later and mentioned my mistake; immediately he said to use peanut oil. I laughed, he was serious. He went on to tell me that a representative from gorilla glue told him it acts as a solvent on the glue's chemical bonds. O.K....? Needless to say, I tried it, and IT WORKED! I don't know if peanut oil could ever work as a true 'solvent' (my friend is quite hyperbolic, that's why I was skeptical in the first place), but it was able to separate the cured glue from the door panel and enabled me to chip it off with a very thin nylon pry tool.
