Goodbye to all...

Been nice being part of this group. I finally decided on a vehicle, with the G35 sedan 6 speed, not being released till january or so. I decided to get rid of TLS and get a GS400. The quality issue was the nail in the coffin. 2 transmissions, bad brakes, squeeks, rattles. A center console that won't stay close replaced twice. Peeling paint and ...Well you all get the picture. It was a pleasure to be part of the group. The forum gave good advise and laughs. I will be stopping by on occasion to check on you guys and gals. So take care a safe driving.

It's too bad you're leaving and that you had a bad experience with your TL. Take care and keep stopping by from time to time.

Sorry your Acura had so many problems. What year GS400, and what kind of transmission? Enjoy it. We'll like to see pictures after you get new wheels for it.

Re: Goodbye to all...

Wow, GS400 is some serious machinery and its made and assembled in Japan !

To me rattles is the biggest turn off (which has no fixes).....
quality is not superior, but I think it's about average compared to Toyota or Nissan. ( though I agree it could have been better ).
I am telling you, they got to start making those things in Japan... it will sove quality and rattle issues

other than that I love the car.

they are all 5 speed automatic. but they are proven to be able to take well over 400rwhp without any major changes

I can afford a used GS 400-430, i am looking at 1999 to 2001. Good deals in DC especially in the N. VA area. The TLS was my first Honda/Acura product. But alas, it will be my last product. As much as I enjoyed the car, I do not enjoy worrying what's next to happen or look for a new noise. My Maxima's quality, (and I will get flamed for this). Was well ahead and above this car. Unless the New Maxima comes soon, that's the only other vehicle I am considering. One thing for sure this TLS is history. I will drive my corolla until I find something. But thanks all for the advise and well wishes.

I am a big fan of the GS4! Good luck and enjoy! Sorry to hear about your disappointment with the TLS. I love my car but now that the cold is here I am starting to hear more rattles so I know what you guys mean about the quality!

Cars are only getting better so I can't wait to see what BMW, MB, Lexus and Acura come up with next! Infiniti too, but they just came out with their new line up of cars.
