Good transmission shops in LA/Orange County area?

I'm trying to find some good places to rebuild my transmisison on my 99 TL (don't want to go to the dealer), so far the only recommendation I've gotten is for AutoWave in Huntington Beach, who quoted me $3150 for a 1 year warranty on a rebuild, or $3650 for a 3 year warranty. I don't really want to bother with the dealer as it'll just fail again and I'll have to pay for it all over again, so I'm hoping to just get one rebuilt stronger and not have this problem.

Anyone have any good places in LA / OC?

where ever you go make sure that they have upgraded parts and not oem spec replacements

Yeah, I was wondering about that - are there pretty standard pieces of the tranny / clutch pack / whatever that they'll be able to kevlar replacements for? I thought everything might have to be custom made but I've heard of other people getting upgraded parts without going through velocity resources so I figured that there must be some standard sized parts that acura uses...

I'm also figuring my ECU won't get upgraded this way, but if they use stronger parts it won't matter (and I'll just make sure to use SS on hills, it seems like that's what killed my tranny) ((it would also hunt for gears going up the 405)).
