Is this a good daily driver?

I am getting a larger than expected tax refund, and with some other money I set aside, am looking to buy a daily driver.

My 03 TL is getting up there in miles(102k now), so I want to have something to drive back and forth to work. Right now Its between

01 CL http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-...em110225786844

00 Accord

The accord would make a better one. Better gas mileage too. The CL has the same Tanny issues as the TL.

oem kit, spoiler, drop, and that accord would look pretty mean... but im sure thats not a major concern for a DD haha. the accord appears to be cleaner and is more practical go for that.

fyi i believe the accords were effected in the tranny recall as well... but its a 4spd auto so it is less prone to failure... (unless it was just for AV6's) im not positive

Just my opinion, so please take no offense:
- keep your refund in an interest bearing account for a down payment on a new car in the future. Use your TL as your daily driver, maintain it well, and use it for as long as you can. This way you avoid the problem of storing 2 cars as well as maintenance and insuring 2 cars vs. one. As much as we all like our cars, they are depreciating assets and will never give us back financially what we put into them.

accord is more practical, but CL is probably more fun to drive. have you considered a manual car?

That recall was only for the V6. The one he is showing is a 4cyl.

I'd keep your current TL. Keep it maintained and have fun with it. Save the money for a new car as stated above. Owning two cars can be quite expensive, especially with maintence on a used car.
