The Good The Bad The Ugly!!!
Well there I was leaving work about to get on the express way, when I felt my car kinda hesitate for a second then BAM the front tires lock up and the car skids for about two seconds then downshifts tremendously hard into second from about 65 mph. For a split second I thought I got rear ended and I even looked out the rear view mirror to see the suspect. Then it hit me, I never thought that it would ever happen to me but it did I looked down and see my D5 light blinking and the VSA light and every other light you could imagine that would go when your tranny takes a dump on you.
An hour later, I get to Acura after I opt out of taking the express way. I walk into service to be greeted and taken care of within a half hour they confirm that my tranny is dead and that I would be the lucky one to break in their new 2008 Acura TL loaner. Well after taking all of my crap for work out of the trunk of my dead TL my good friend and salesman (Steve) walks over and asks me whats going on. I explain to him that my car died and that I was happy to get a new loaner while my old one was being repaired under warranty since it only had 68,xxx miles on it. Then he asks me if I had any spare time so that he could show me something. I said sure and 4 HOURS LATER IM THE PROUD OWNER OF THIS 2006 NHP 6SM TL W/NAVI!!!

Well I think I got a deal and I thought long and hard for a whole two seconds and I think I made a good choice. They gave me a good amount for the old TL 15,500 with 68,xxx and a busted tranny even though it was going to be replaced. Im only paying 100 dollars more for a car thats 3 years newer and alot sweeter. And my insurance only went up 10 bucks a month. I figured i should live it up while I can.
as for the oem kit its staying on the car as Im trading it in. All after market parts are coming off I/H/suspension ..... keep an eye out in the black market.

The new car was 30800 so after trade in it was 26538 add doc fees wrap around warranty and taxes and all that other happy horse crap and i ended up financing 29,xxx i dont feel like getting the paper work in the car but i used to pay 368 for the old TL now I pay 488. Deal or no deal? My insurance went up 10 bucks a month as well.
